Lions are Green...

This week in literacy lessons we've been basing our writing around a fantastic short film called 'Lions are Green'. It's the story of a boy who is colour blind. It has given the children lots of opportunities for talking, sharing ideas and acting. Year 2 visited the Nature Centre...

Year 2 visited the Nature Centre at Cannon Hill Park today. We all had a marvellous time; it didn't rain [hooray], we saw a variety of amazing animals [including some baby Ibis' being fed], we learned a lot about plants, food and animals from a lovely lady called Julie, we visited the little shop and bought goodies and some of the children managed to have a well deserved sleep on the way home...
